More About Me

I have been capturing 'moments in time" on my camera for over 20 years. It began when 35mm SLR cameras were the only way! As Digital Photography has become more popular so has the idea of Photo Shop (taking a photo and "enhancing" it to make it better). However, the technology may have changed, but I still feel that if you alter a photograph it then becomes an image rather than the photo that was originally captured. I believe there are a lot of beautiful pictures that have been Photo Shopped, but my ethics as a photographer will not allow me to follow that path (at least not at the moment).

1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Photo Shoot

I had no idea that the car I was going to photograph was a Chevrolet Chevelle SS!!! My jaw literally dropped when I saw it. The paint job looked like glass! I am ecstatic how these photos turned out! While doing the shoot I overheard a conversation where these photos will be entered into a Chevelle magazine! That could be interesting!

Have Camera - Will Travel

I just thought of it and had to put it in a blog! I have been feeling very creative lately and have been adding a lot of posts and ideas! Some of which may be quite eccentric, yet others may be right on par. We'll have to wait and see!

Pregnancy shoot

I have a pregnancy shoot scheduled in 2 weeks in Knightdale, NC! I'm a little nervous, but I know the end result will be FANTASTIC!!!

Looking to expand my camera collection

I am currently using a Nikon D50 and love it, but I am looking for a second camera. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. I am partial to Nikon, but functionality is key!

My name is Tammy and I grew up here in North Carolina. I currently live in the Raleigh/Durham area in North Carolina. I have been interested in photography since I can remember, but in 1986 I was able to make that interest into a hobby. I took a photography course in school that opened doors and allowed me to explore different ways to take photographs! I have captured almost every moment I can remember since one can never relive those moments again. I have been working on my portfolio to gain experience and to line up some photo shoots. I love candid moments since those photos are not pre-arranged. I am always looking for new people and places to photograph.
